The Wittenbach Wege Agriscience and Environmental Education Center is an outdoor learning center nestled amongst 140 acres of lush forests, rolling prairies, abundant wetlands and open fields all waiting to be explored! Our trails are open 365 days a year, dawn till dusk, for your hiking enjoyment. What are you waiting for? Come out and visit us today!

Are you a teacher looking for a great field trip destination? Well look no further then the WWC. With the rise in fuel costs, schools are looking for field trip destinations close to home. Luckily the WWC is just a frog's jump away from Lowell and the greater Grand Rapids area! Bring your students out to the WWC for a day of hands-on learning in the out of doors. Our knowledgeable staff will work with your students to introduce, build upon and/or reinforce topics discussed in the classroom such as plants, animal life cycles and ecosystems.

WWC Announcements

Don't forget to pick up your Connecting Families with Nature Passport at the WWC. This is your family's ticket to outdoor adventures right here in Kent County. Earn stamps for attending environmental education programs and taking family hikes. Each completed passport can be redeemed for a child's admission into John Ball Zoo for the wrap up party on September 25, 2010.
